Why upgrade to Fravora PRO?
Fravora's free tier already runs a full-time photo frame with no subscription. PRO is unlocked with a one-time purchase that removes limits and unlocks the features below — here's what each one does.
PRO features are unlocked by a one-time in-app purchase. There is no subscription.
Motion, transitions & visual polish
These control how photos actually move and look on screen — the difference between a static slideshow and one that feels alive.
15 transition effects
Free tier hard-cuts between photos. PRO adds Slide, Cube, Zoom, Crossfade, Depth, Parallax, Card Deck, 3D Page Flip, Circle Reveal, and more, plus a Random option and adjustable Transition Speed — so consecutive photos flow into each other instead of snapping.
Cinematic effects
Ken Burns pan-and-zoom, Drift, Vignette Pulse, Smart Focus, Film Atmosphere, Tilt Shift, and more bring subtle motion to each photo while it's on screen, with a Cinematic Speed control and automatic thermal-aware scaling on Android TV so effects back off if the device gets warm.
Image & video backdrop styles
When a photo or video doesn't fill the screen in Fit mode, PRO fills the letterbox space with a gradient, solid color, mirrored blur, or themed backdrop instead of plain black bars.
Smart Shuffle
Regular random order can cluster near-duplicate burst shots back to back. Smart Shuffle recognizes burst-like filenames and capture timestamps and spaces them out, so random playback actually feels varied.
Bouncing standby clock
Outside your running hours, PRO's standby screen shows a slowly bouncing clock instead of a static one — reducing the chance of the same pixels staying lit in one spot for hours.
Video progress overlay
Shows current/total playback time and a subtle progress bar while a video plays in your slideshow, so you can tell at a glance how far along a clip is.
More sources, fewer limits
Free tier caps you at one of everything so you can try the app properly. PRO removes those caps for people running a real multi-source setup.
Unlimited sources, albums & cloud connections
Free tier allows one storage source, one local folder, one cloud connection, and one album. PRO removes all of those caps, so you can mix multiple NAS shares, local folders, and cloud accounts across as many albums as you want.
Include subfolders
Recursive scanning for SMB, local folders, OneDrive, and Google Drive — point Fravora at a top-level folder and it pulls in everything nested underneath instead of just the top level.
Configurable scan interval
Free tier uses a fixed background scan interval. PRO lets you set it from 5 to 120 minutes, so new photos dropped into a NAS folder or cloud album show up on the frame as fast (or as infrequently) as you want.
Overlays, information & personalization
Turn the frame into more than a slideshow — a display that also shows the time, weather, your schedule, and what's playing, styled the way you like.
Weather overlay & forecast
Optional live local weather over the slideshow, with a tap-to-open full-screen forecast covering multiple locations, a 7-day outlook, sunrise/sunset times, and colors that can adapt to current conditions. Off by default on new installations; users who enabled it earlier keep their setting.
Full-screen calendar
Tap the clock overlay to open a calendar with event creation, recurrence, multi-select delete, and reminder alerts that show as a coloured glow on the frame border — turning a hallway or kitchen frame into a household schedule display.
Photo metadata with landmark lookup
Shows when and where each photo was taken from EXIF read on your device. Enabling location or landmark names sends coordinates rounded to 2 decimals (about 1 km) to OpenStreetMap Nominatim to find a place name. Results are cached on your device; nothing else from photos leaves it.
7 color schemes & font sizing
Restyle the whole app and overlay set with one of seven curated color themes, plus independent font sizing (Small to Extra Large) for overlays like Photo Metadata, Now Playing, and Photo Index.
Custom overlay layout
Assign the clock, weather, metadata, ambient logo, now-playing, and photo index overlays to a 2×2 corner grid (plus center slots) with collision-safe placement, instead of fixed default positions.
OLED anti-burn-in protection
Periodic micro-shifts and opacity variation on overlays reduce the risk of permanent burn-in on OLED panels used as an always-on frame — important if your frame runs the same clock/weather overlay in one spot for years.
Radio
Free tier lets you find and play a station. PRO turns it into a proper background radio you can control without opening the app.
Favorites & history
Save stations to favorites and see your last 3 played stations, instead of losing your station on every app restart like the free tier does.
Advanced search filters
Filter by country code, language, tag, and minimum bitrate, with fuller result detail (country, language, bitrate, codec) — free tier search only shows country.
Background playback & lockscreen controls
Radio keeps playing via a foreground service while you use other apps, with lockscreen and notification media controls to skip between stations without reopening Fravora.
Music
The free tier's one playlist is enough to test the feature. PRO is for people who actually want their music library running behind their photos.
Unlimited playlists
Free tier is capped at one playlist. PRO removes that limit entirely, so you can build separate playlists per folder, mood, or occasion.
Automatic background scanning
Free tier requires a manual refresh to pick up new tracks. PRO scans your music folders automatically on a configurable interval (5 to 120 minutes), so newly added songs join the playlist without you doing anything.
Full sort modes
Sort by Song, Artist, Filename, Date Added to Disk, Date Added to Playlist, or Shuffle. Free tier is locked to Discovery order (the order tracks were added to the playlist).
Voice control
The entire voice control section is PRO-only, since it relies on always-listening wake-word detection that requires ongoing maintenance to keep private and accurate.
On-device wake-word detection
Say "Hello Frame" or "Hello Fravora" to open a short listening window (3–7 seconds) for a follow-up command — no cloud speech processing required for the wake word itself.
Hands-free commands
Play, pause, or stop the slideshow, start or stop radio and music, and increase, decrease, set, mute, or unmute volume — all without touching the screen. Useful when the frame is mounted somewhere you can't easily reach.
Visual & audible feedback
A colored feedback frame (blue, green, or red) and an audible cue confirm when the frame is listening and whether a command was understood.
